Once you enroll and become a member of Extra Health Network, you will receive your benefit package in 7 to 21 days. This will include your benefit pamphlet as well as your membership cards.

Simply present your membership card to any of the health providers in our network, as well as any pharmacy listed in ourExtensive network list and you will receive a discount based upon a pre negotiated rate that is part of our network pricing plans.

Why does the provider give a discount when you present the Extra Health Network card, instead of simply giving you the discount themselves?

The reason is very simple. The insurance companies that your providers use, do not allow for random discounts that may be less than the insurance company themselves are being charged. However, if you belong to a pre negotiated discount plan, then it is not a random discount and is allowed and even encouraged.

So use your membership card as much as you want to and remember:

This plan does not make payments directly to the providers of medical services. The plan member is obligated to pay for all healthcare services but will receive a discount from those healthcare providers who have contracted with the discount plan organization.
